Burr and Burton Academy Performing Arts Department is proud to present Christopher Sergel’s faithful adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s award-winning coming-of-age novel THE OUTSIDERS, November 12-15 at 6:30 PM in the Riley Center For The Arts.
Hinton’s book was adapted into the 1983 film directed by Francis Ford Coppola, which helped launch the careers of several young Hollywood A-list actors, including Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, C. Thomas Howell, Ralph Macchio, and Diane Lane.
Set in the 1960s in Tulsa, Oklahoma, two rival teenage gangs, “The Greasers and “The Soc’s,” are at odds. The play centers around Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, and their family of ‘outsiders’ who are fighting for their purpose and place in the world.
Don’t miss this great American classic, and as always, find ways to "Stay Gold.”

Tickets can be purchased at BBATICKETS.com and are $10.00 for BBA Student, Faculty, and Staff and $15.00 for the General Public.
